Why Shaming Yourself is Self-Sabotage

See this content in the original post

If you’ve done something or are currently caught up in behavior you’re ashamed or embarrassed by, it’s ok. You are safe to show up imperfectly no matter where you are in your healing journey. Give yourself permission to be human, then give yourself grace.

Whether you seek validation from another to be seen or heard (for example), this is a clue where more healing is required.

Your energy is precious, and rather than spending time putting yourself down with shame and negative self-talk, get curious and start asking yourself questions.

  1. Why are you doing XXX?

  2. Why are you ashamed of this behavior?

  3. What would you need to feel more empowered?

Here is how you take back your power and reconnect with yourself. You have the answers; now it’s time to release the shame.
